VITAMIN C+
Source of Natural Vitamin C
When
taking MSM it is necessary that vitamin C be taken also. MSM utilizes the vitamin C in
building healthy cells.
As you probably know, vitamin C is an important and necessary component of
daily living. Vitamin C is active in more functions of more organs in the body than any
other. It is an essential maintenance and "booster" vitamin of the immune
system. It is also used in the metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine. Chronic bleeding and
bruising have been linked to insufficient vitamin C, and everyone knows that scurvy is
caused by the same.
Vitamin C deficiencies can be result from many different things including
the use of ACTH in the treatment of arthritis. Sulfa drugs also increase urinary depletion
of the vitamin. Antibiotics may also lead to low levels of vitamin C. The biggest cause of
depletion of vitamin C may, however, be from smoking. Studies have shown that smoking can
deplete vitamin C (ascorbic acid) levels by as much as 30%.
Ingredients: ascorbic acid, bioflavinoids (citrus), hesperidin, rutin,
rosehips.
It is recommended that you take at least 1/2 (one half) as much vitamin C
as MSM. For example, if you are taking 2000mg of MSM you should take a minimum of 1000 mg
of vitamin C. We recommend taking MSM capsules, MSM torpedoes, or MSM powder. To obtain
minerals that are depleted when the body utilizes vitamin C, we offer Vitamin C Plus Minerals. If you have an especially sensitive
gastrointestinal tract (stomach), we suggest you consider Vitamin C+.
